The renowned Ice Cream Parlour of the Waterhof in Gaasbeek has moved to the “top of the hill” near the entrance of the Gaasbeek Castle. Today, the 'Krijmerie of Gaasbeek' is where Koen’s love for great ice creams finds new expression.
His artisanal ice cream is made with fresh milk from local farmers and is based on the recipe he and his wife Els developed in 1993. It was then that they started selling ice cream at their dairy product enterprise in the Waterhof farm. It was such a tremendous success that they opened an ice cream parlour in 2008. Popularity of their ice cream driven by its diversity in flavours and shapes kept growing. Due to this great success they decided to move to a new and larger building opposite the entrance to the Castle of Gaasbeek in 2016. Here, in the 'Krijmerie of Gaasbeek' is where Koen develops new flavours, original combinations and great surprises with the best ice cream and top class raw materials, delivering time and time again high quality products and real flavour sensations liked by all.
The choice of products in the Krijmerie of Gaasbeek is impressive. You can enjoy more than 50 different sundaes or just a scoop of ice cream. Choosing between 20 different flavours however might proof to be challenging. There is something for everyone, from classics such as coupe strawberry and coupe dame blanche to the more specialist sections and tastes like sundae "Honolulu", "Cupid", "Everything", "The undecided", and many more. When the weather is fine, you can consume our creations on our terrace in front of the store looking out of the woods of the Castle of Gaasbeek.
The Krijmerie of Gaasbeek also has its own shop where you can buy anything from our range of ice creams flavours, ice cream cakes and other delicacies from the region which allows you to continue to enjoy our products at home.
